The Belchertown Community Alliance (BCA) is a dynamic nonprofit organization dedicated to revitalizing underutilized landscapes in Belchertown, MA, and transforming them into vibrant, culturally-centered spaces for the community.
The Challenge: With a multifaceted mission encompassing historical preservation, community outreach, arts education, and support for local businesses, the BCA needed a cohesive visual identity to communicate its diverse initiatives effectively. The challenge was to create a brand that reflected the organization's rich heritage and historical significance while also honoring their aspirational goals.
The Solution: Drawing inspiration from the historical architecture, vintage typography and elements of storytelling, I designed a captivating logo and branding suite for the BCA. This earthy yet friendly visual identity incorporates Art Deco-inspired details and a cool yet earthy color palette, evoking a sense of sophistication, history and community pride. Each element of the branding suite is carefully crafted to reflect the BCA's commitment to enriching lives and fostering inclusivity within the local community across western Massachusetts and more specifically in Hampshire, Franklin and Hampden County.
The Result: With its new branding in place, the BCA is poised to make a significant impact in the community and steward these previously underutilized buildings in a powerful and sustainable way.
