Miss Florence Diner

When the owner of Miss Florence Diner first approached our studio they had a website, however it wasn’t functioning properly or looking very good and the owner knew it was long overdue for some attention. As a truly beloved neighborhood spot, this little train car diner is a historical treasure and somewhat rare. As such, the new owner knew she needed to address the outdated and non functional website in order to keep the business flourishing and steward this antique diner into a new era.

After a consultation call it became clear that while Miss Florence Diner had a substantial and loyal local following and delivered top notch service, their online presence left much to be desired. Not only did the old site have broken links and lack key information, it also wasn’t mobile responsive, which in turn negatively impacted their SEO. It was clear a new website needed to be designed and developed and the owner also desired a fresh new logo design to compliment the newly built website. To begin, we got a thorough understanding of not only the business and the charming history behind the diner, but also a sense of the customers and what makes Miss Florence Diner so special. Once a brand voice was developed a retro logo design followed. The logo and branding were inspired by the impressive and vintage marquee out front of the actual train car diner - something that all the locals adore. On the new website, warm tones, a welcoming vibe and information about the history of the diner were woven together to tell the story of this unique spot. These along with mobile responsive breakfast / lunch / dinner menus were added as well as the ability for site visitors to order online. Plenty of photos from the diner past and present helped create the perfect website. Listed as a historic landmark, this jewel of a diner continues to delight all patrons —and now, so does the website.
